The course consists of one theoretical and one practical part. The practical part contains three computer exercises. The flow cases used in our exercises are taken directly from our research which makes the exercises realistic and thus more relevant for participants than pure academic simplified cases.
The exercises are about:
- Large Eddy Simulation for vehicle flows in Exercise 1.
- Hybrid RANS-LES methods such as DES and PANS of vehicle flows in Exercise 2.
- Simulations of flow control for vehicles in Exercise 2.
- Aerodynamic shape optimization of vehicles in Exercise 3.
